Who roofs homes in Magnolia, TX?

Handyhands is a family-owned, GAF Certified roofing contractor serving Magnolia, from acreage homes under the pines to new construction along FM 1488. We handle full replacement, honest repair, and hail and wind insurance claims, installing the complete GAF Timberline HDZ system with a 10-year workmanship warranty.

Magnolia is two kinds of roofing in one town. Along the FM 1488 corridor, new subdivisions are going up fast — builder-grade roofs that will all hit their limits in the same decade. Out on the acreage, homes sit under a working pine canopy, where shade, needles, and falling limbs write their own rules. We work both: full-system replacement, honest repair, and storm-damage claims, backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty.

Acreage homes under the pines

A wooded lot is the reason to live in Magnolia — and the thing your roof deals with every day. Pine needles mat in the valleys and hold moisture against the shingle; deep shade slows drying after every rain; and dropped limbs do damage you often can't see from the ground. On acreage roofs we build the vulnerable details stronger — lined valleys, ice-and-water shield at penetrations, quality underlayment across the deck — because out here, the valleys are where roofs live or die.

New builds along FM 1488

If your Magnolia home is newer, your roof is probably fine today — and quietly built to a price. Builder-grade installs commonly skip the details that decide year fifteen: four nails instead of six, paper felt instead of synthetic, whatever ventilation the framer left. When the first roofs in a new section start failing, the neighbors' roofs are rarely far behind. We replace builder-grade roofs with the complete GAF system so the second roof outlasts the first by design.

Buying or selling in Magnolia? We do honest pre-sale roof inspections — a straight report, no sales pitch attached.

Hail country, documented from the air

Northwest of Houston is hail country, and Magnolia's lot sizes make ground-level damage assessment genuinely hard — you can't see the back slope of a house set two hundred feet off the road. Our inspections are drone-assisted: we document every plane of the roof, the way an adjuster needs to see it. If there's a legitimate wind or hail claim, we stand with you through the insurance process; if there isn't, you get a straight answer and a report you can keep.

One standard, out to Magnolia

We're a family-owned Houston company, and Magnolia is comfortably inside our service area — same crews, same complete GAF system, same 10-year workmanship warranty we put on every roof in the city.

Questions, answered

Common questions

Do you really cover Magnolia from Houston?

Yes. Our shop is in northwest Houston off US-290, so Magnolia is a straight shot up the corridor. Same crews and same standard as our in-town work — we've completed full replacements in Magnolia, and the Magnolia photo on this page is from one of them.

Pine needles keep collecting on my roof — is that actually a problem?

In the valleys, yes. Matted needles hold moisture against the shingle and dam water sideways under the courses. The fix is twofold: keep the valleys clear, and when the roof is replaced, line them with an ice-and-water membrane so standing debris can't turn into a leak.

My subdivision is only 12 years old — why are neighbors already re-roofing?

Usually a mix of builder-grade shortcuts and weather. Four-nail patterns lose shingles to wind earlier, and one good hailstorm can finish a roof that was already marginal. If re-roofing has started in your section, a free inspection will tell you honestly where yours stands.

Can you document hail damage on a house set far back from the road?

That's exactly why our inspections are drone-assisted. We photograph every slope — including the ones invisible from the driveway — and assemble the documentation an adjuster needs for a fair assessment.
