We get on your roof, take a thorough look — often drone-assisted — and tell you honestly what it needs. If there's storm damage, we document everything so it's ready for your insurance claim. If there isn't, we'll tell you that too.

What "free inspection" actually means here

A free roof inspection should be exactly that — a real look at your roof and a straight answer, with nothing owed and no pressure to sign anything. Too many "free inspections" in Houston are just a way to get a salesperson on your porch. Ours isn't. We're a family-owned, GAF-Certified roofer, and our reputation is worth more to us than any one job.

When we come out, we actually get up on the roof — we don't diagnose a roof from the driveway. We assess its age and overall condition, look for active leaks, and check carefully for the signs of wind and hail damage that Houston storms leave behind. Then we sit down with you and walk through exactly what we found, in plain English.

If you don't need a new roof, we'll tell you. Our reputation is worth more than one job.

What the inspection covers

A thorough inspection looks at the whole roofing system, not just the shingles you can see from the ground. Here's what we're checking when we're up there:

  • Roof age and overall condition — how much serviceable life is realistically left
  • Active leaks and the interior signs that point to them (ceiling stains, attic moisture)
  • Shingle condition — granule loss, cracking, curling, lifted or missing shingles
  • Hail bruising and wind damage, including creased or torn shingles after a storm
  • Flashing at chimneys, walls, and penetrations — the spots where leaks usually start
  • Valleys and vulnerable edges where water concentrates
  • Ventilation — whether the roof is breathing the way it should
  • Soft decking and other underlying problems that a surface look would miss

Drone-assisted documentation

Where it helps, we use a drone to document the roof — especially on steep or high roofs and after storms. Drone imagery lets us capture clear overhead photos of the whole roof, zoom in on damaged areas, and build a complete visual record without missing sections that are hard to reach safely.

That documentation does double duty. It helps you actually see what we're talking about — instead of taking our word for it — and, if there's storm damage, it becomes part of the photo record that supports an insurance claim.

An honest recommendation — every time

Here's the part that's different. After we've looked, we tell you the truth about what your roof needs — even when that's not a sale for us.

Sometimes a roof just needs a targeted repair or some maintenance, not a full replacement, and we'll say so. Sometimes a roof has plenty of life left and the smart move is to do nothing yet. And sometimes there's legitimate storm damage worth pursuing with your insurance. Whichever it is, you'll get a clear, honest assessment and your real options — not a scare tactic.

If you don't need a roof, we won't sell you one. That's the whole point of an honest inspection.

What you receive afterward

You walk away from the inspection knowing exactly where your roof stands. We explain what we found, show you the documentation, and lay out your options — repair, replacement, or simply keeping an eye on it.

We photograph and record what we find so it's organized and ready — and if you decide to file, we specialize in storm-damage insurance restoration. We attend the adjuster meeting, supplement legitimately owed items, and hand you a documentation packet for your records and future renewals.

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. The inspection costs you nothing and there's no obligation. We give you a straight assessment and explain your options — repair, replacement, or nothing at all — with no pressure either way.

What if you find that I don't need a new roof?

Then we'll tell you. If your roof just needs a repair or some maintenance, or if it has plenty of life left, that's exactly what we'll say. We'd rather earn your trust than sell you a roof you don't need.

Do you actually get on the roof, or inspect from the ground?

We get on the roof. You can't honestly diagnose a roof from the driveway. Where it helps — on steep or high roofs and after storms — we also use a drone to document hard-to-reach areas safely and capture clear overhead photos.

Should I get an inspection after a storm?

It's usually worth it. Wind and hail damage isn't always visible from the ground, and the sooner it's documented, the better. If we find storm damage, we document it thoroughly so it's ready if you choose to file an insurance claim.
